Tasseled Up

Tasseled Up

Hey Lovies,

Yes I have been away and I know I was missed. I will try not to disappear again.

Today’s project is super easy to achieve and does not need a sewing machine :D. The Tasseled Sweater was worn by what seems to be an unknown fashionista/model attending the Paris Fashion week earlier in 2017. It did immediately hit stores and every store had their own version. I loved it so I decided to make mine.

Things You Need

  • Tassels (In any color you like)
  • An old/new sweater
  • Needle & thread (same color as tassels)

First you lay your sweater on a flat surface.

Then you mark out where you are going to place your tassels either with fabric marker or chalk faintly. I just pinned mine to the sweater (Bad idea) lool.

Now all you do is place your tassel along the line and start to sew from the inside of you sweater out. Go through with your needle twice to secure the tassel.

Continue with this until it is completed.

Try it on an you are all done.

I styled mine with a long slit black dress because I was feeling a bit adventurous that day. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Nice. Sounds like something that can be easily done by even a beginner. Like it! Any special advice on washing?

Thanks! Yes it can. Hand wash would be better to keep your tassels intact.
